The future of performance footwear has always revolved around revolutionary fit. Today I’m featuring the new Nike Free Flyknit 5.0 in order to highlight some amazing steps that Nike is taking in respect to Flyknit and the way a shoe fits.
Nike Flyknit is a single thread knitted constructed upper that provides a second skin feel when worn. This new Flyknit blend that is used for the Free Flyknit uses about 20% more Lycra which creates a more compressive and elastic fit throughout the entire shoe.
The result is a glove-like fit for your feet which opens up a truly barefoot running opportunity for runners who want to experience a more minimal feel while out on the road without sacrificing too much cushioning. There are isolated zones throughout the upper which provide a more secure fit for the foot to the midsole so that there is no movement or separation of the foot from the shoe when running.
A truly amazing update in the Flyknit family and a sign for things to come when it comes to how running footwear will fit! Make sure to head to your local Nike Running store and experience these shoes on your feet, you won’t regret it!
